The UAE Health Ministry and Prevention (MoHaP) on Friday conducted more than 49,000 tests over the past two days involving various segments of society, including UAE citizens and residents, using latest state of the art technology in line with the plans to intensify virus screenings to bring the novel virus under control.
The accelerated investigative and check-up measures resulted in the detection of 370 new coronavirus cases of various nationalities, all of whom are in stable condition and receiving necessary care, taking to 3,360 the total tally of infections in the country, according to a (MoHaP) statement on Friday night.
The ministry also announced the death of two Asian expats who tested positive for COVID-19 and died due to complications. This brings total death toll to 16.
The ministry announced the recovery of 150 patients, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 418.

Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha), the UAE’s largest healthcare network, announced the opening of 13 additional drive-through COVID-19 testing facilities, following the first opening in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi.
This follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of the UAE community, and curbing the spread of COVID-19.
