App launched for residents to get through isolation

Digital world is everyday bringing new solutions for residents staying at home due to the pandemic of coronavirus COVID-19 in the UAE and everywhere. With support from the local government, the residents in the UAE are much relaxed than others in rest of the world.

Now is the time we need to band together and keep the at-risk groups safe by social distancing and keeping to ourselves. As the weekend approaches we will not be able to visit our favourite dining spots. Although we might not be able to be at venues physically, it does not mean we cannot enjoy some of your favourite dishes in the comfort of your own homes.

Careem NOW has launched its Super Savers. This new product gives customers access to meal deals as low as AED20 in addition to majorly discounted offers.

The firm added a “no contact delivery” option before placing the order to ask Captains to leave the order at the door. They also encourage its customers to use cashless payment options, such as credit card or Careem wallet.

Separately, the smart App of Dubai Municipality, Montaji, has been witnessing widespread demand by users and specialised companies, said a press release issued by the municipality on Sunday.

The application, a platform for consumer products registered and approved by the Municipality, enables customers, whether they are individuals or companies, to verify the product’s health and safety standards as per the Municipality’s requirements.

Various types of products such as cosmetics, personal care products, perfumes, health supplements, detergents, antibacterial products, food contact materials and many more can be verified by scanning the product barcode or entering its number or name through the application.

The number of Montaji users has increased tremendously in one month as more than 20,000 users have downloaded the smart app. The total number of products registered in the antibacterial and sterilising category has reached 2500, a 30 percent increase over the last three months.
