The directives issued by the His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces to facilitate the testing of coronavirus at the homes for the people of determination has been widely acknowledged by the residents as well as people running special needs educational and rehabilitation centres in the country.
Maryam Othman, Director General of the Rashid Center for People of Determination, praised the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, which instructed to provide medical examination services from the Corona virus to people of determination in their homes. “This is what we expect from our rational leadership that always care about this group of society members, preserve their dignity and safeguard their rights and gains, and today they are more in need of conducting these preventive examinations in a safe environment, especially that their immunity is fragile and weak,” she said.
The Director General of the Rashid Center for People of Determination added the center’s keenness to accomplish the “distance education” project through employing techniques and capabilities of artificial intelligence to meet the needs of people of determination and proactive follow-up to them from a distance and providing preventive health care.
She added that we will continue to be inspired by the wise leadership the methodologies and mechanisms of our work, and we will remain as they wanted us to “stand like a spear.”
The Director General of the Center confirmed the launch of a package of distance educational software in cooperation with the “Avaya” company that had started in this project before the outbreak of Corona globally, and also confirmed that the academic staff and experts in occupational therapy and speech therapy have started preparing a series of educational videos that benefit from it. The student is also directed to parents to help their child to develop and treat him without interruption in a safe environment.
In a pioneering and proactive step, the Center prepared a food basket as a gift for the student and his family, especially in these blessed days of the month of Shaaban, and the “Ramadan Mir” will be presented in the first week of the holy month, in a way that contributes to strengthening the student’s diet and immunity in the face of viruses, especially that those with determination More vulnerable than others to viruses due to their weak immunity.
