The youngest patient with coronavirus has recovered in the UAE and is leaving the intensive care unit of Khalifa Hospital.
The Filipino child celebrates his life on his ninth birthday.
The Khalifa Hospital doctors and staff gave a round of applause to the child.
A video obtained by Gulf Today showed the limping boy surprised by the warm reception.
The doctors expect that the boy will be able to continue his normal daily routine without any hassle.
The UAE Health Ministry announced additional 30,000 Covid-19 tests were performed, which revealed 490 new cases bringing the total number of cases to 7,755. The new cases identified are undergoing treatment.
The Ministry said that three Asian expats who tested positive for COVID-19 died due to complications. This brings total death toll to 46. The ministry expressed sincere condolences to the families of the deceased.
The ministry announced the total number of recovered cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19) has reached 1,443 with 83 cases fully recovered today after receiving treatment.

Speaking at the UAE's regular media briefing on Tuesday, Dr Farida Al Hosani, spokesperson for the UAE health sector, stressed the importance of increased testing to ensure the early detection of infections, particularly among those exposed to previously confirmed cases.
Dr. Al Hosani offered her sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished them peace during this challenging time.
She wished a speedy recovery to all infected patients and called upon the general public to strictly adhere to preventative measures out of concern for the health and safety of all.
