Pakistani media corners Maulana Tariq Jamil for his comments on an open forum regarding the credibility of media people all around the world.
The renowned speaker from Pakistan was bashed online for his straightforward or rather, controversial comment regarding the credibility of Pakistani media calling them ’liars.’
In a telethon which also included the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and a few others, Maulana Tariq Jamil made a statement that people in the media don’t usually speak the truth and if they do they might get into trouble or will have to close their channel.
Maulana was made to apologise for his statement in a programme that was aired live, calling his statement ‘a slip of the tongue .‘
He even spoke about how very little importance is given to the truth as it is the most important aspect of being a Muslim.

Other than shifting focus on truthfulness he also made a statement regarding women in the media not being cautious about their attire and not abiding by the Islamic rules, which could be the reason that a pandemic like the coronavirus occurred.
