The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) is pleased to announce the guidelines and precautionary measures for the preparation of reopening the malls and shopping centres in Abu Dhabi.
The precautionary measures will be applied simultaneously to ensure risk mitigation of viral contamination in line with the directions of the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority.
In preparation for malls reopening in the emirate the Abu Dhabi Health Service has been operating Covid-19 testing centres around the clock.
So far 20,000 employees have completed the tests at 7 drive-through testing centres.

SEHA has also increased employee awareness about the virus, its symptoms and how to follow recommended precautionary measures.
They are testing of all mall staff, making sure they are not infected before returning back to work and increasing their awareness, are measures required by Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) before malls can be approved for re-opening.
Steps to be fulfilled as prerequisites for the reopening of malls:
— Managers of malls and commercial centers have to respond to all requirements mentioned in the circular 26/2020 and report the same to ADDED.
— Testing all employees for Coronavirus 'Covid-19' and allow employees who test negative to enter and resume their jobs.
— All visitors shall enter from entrances equipped with thermal cameras. Any person experiencing fever or a high body temperature during periodical checks shall not be allowed to enter, provided that thermal cameras shall be linked to the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, in coordination with Mr. Khaled AI Shmaily (0554221828).
— After fulfilling these steps, you should report to ADDED to get the approval for reopening.
— Please note that tests for employees will take place inside the commercial centers who are willing to reopen or at the DOH medical testing centers.
