Residents in the emirate are glad to see the opening of their favorite shopping destinations across the city. The malls in Dubai opened their doors after a month, strictly implementing guidelines and precautionary measures issued by local authorities.
The Dubai Outlet Mall has been taking various precautionary measures and steps since January 2020 such as awareness communication, regular sanitisation, sterilisation and disinfectant protocols to limit, contain and curtail the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Dubai Outlet Mall, the favourite value shopping destination opened its doors as on 26th April 2020. The mall carried out proper sterilisation & disinfection program and had all measures in place as per Govt. guidelines.
The mall is implementing all measures such as temperature check for all its customer & staffs, 24 hour sanitisation of common areas, social distancing policies, signages for visitors and staff to wear masks and gloves. Entry is restricted for elderly people above 60 years old and children between 3-12 years, visitors are allowed for max 3 hrs, elevators to be used by people with disabilities with social distancing of 2 metres, a separate Isolation Area has been demarcated and a separate garbage can for used mask & gloves, signages are placed around the mall.

Furthermore, Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah reopen with COVID-19 precautions in place to ensure the safety of employees and visitors. The malls have partially re-opened this week after a month, strictly implementing guidelines and precautionary measures issued by local authorities.
Both malls also announced partial reopening and will operate from 12pm to 10pm. However, Family entertainment, Vox cinemas, gyms, prayer rooms, changing rooms will remain closed. Those over 60, and children between three and 12 cannot visit malls, and shoppers must wear masks.
