It was not an ordinary day in the life of Lieutenant Osama Al-Faqahah, a member of the Jordanian General Security, whose phone rang while he was in the car with his colleague.
He asked who was calling, the second party answered: Abdullah Bin Al-Hussein.
The call was actually from the Jordanian monarch who called the lieutenant to thank him for his noble deed after a video was going round on social media sites.
The video showed a policeman helping an elderly woman who violated the procedures of the ban and took to the street.
The policeman asked the poor lady why she was outside.
She explained her situation and added she was feeling cold.
The policeman sacrificed his coat for the lady.
King Abdullah thanked the policeman for the humanitarian gesture in time of coronavirus crisis.
The Jordanian monarch stressed that their presence among the citizens is reassuring, pointing out that any good gesture will have a great impact in people's hearts, and the relationship between citizens and their national institutions.
Lieutenant said he was surprised to receive the call from the king and also said that the leadership of the country appreciates and values everyone who does honourable work for the country.
