The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation affirmed that it will not impose any fines on the persons whose regular or temporary work permits expired on the first of April and for a period of three months (the end of June), to facilitate the workers and companies affected by the precautionary and preventive measures to limit the spread of the new Coronavirus (Covid-19) ).
The Ministry also affirmed that it would not cancel all the amounts incurred by these fines, despite their registering on the system of the Ministry’s services.
It also affirmed that it would not impose any restrictions on the persons with tourist visas or visits within the country, if they obtained a job offer directly or through the electronic recruitment platform of the Ministry or others.
The Ministry also provided a virtual job market to enable job seekers inside and outside the country to enter their own data and create their own files to view job vacancies, which are announced by institutions and companies in the country through the website careers.mohre.gov.ae to apply for these jobs.
The Ministry previously announced facilities for obtaining internal work permits to meet employment needs during the suspension of the granting of new visas, and also allowed institutions to renew work permits without requiring them to renew expired permits for more than 6 months, to allow internal work permits for the third skill level, without science certificates.
The facilities included packages to support workers in the private sector and to lift all restrictions according to which granting new work permits was rejected, except for two cases. The first is that the worker violates the provisions of canceling the work contract, and the second is cases of the complaint of a worker who stopped going to work.
Separately, the Sharjah Economic Development Department, SEDD, intensified its inspection campaigns of economic establishments during the Holy Month of Ramadan to protect consumers and ensure the provision of the finest services to citizens and residents in Sharjah.
