Brigadier Abdullah Khadem Bin Suroor, Director of Bur Dubai Police Station, has ruled out any criminal suspicion in the suicide of Joy Arakkal, an Asian businessman, who threw himself from the 14th floor of a building in Bur Dubai, adding that financial reasons were behind the suicide.
Bin Surur said the station received a report that an Asian person committed suicide and the police rushed to the scene of the accident in Jumeirah, where investigations showed that there was no criminal suspicion in the suicide. The victim suffered from depression for financial reasons which led him to take the suicide decision. The competent authorities gave their approval for the body to be buried.
According to preliminary information, the businessman owned a chain hotels in Kerala.
