The Abu Dhabi Health Department will be launching a campaign to sterilise the Musaffah area on Saturday. It will also be conducting free COVID-19 test for the resident workers of the area.
The Health Department has partnered with competent authorities for the campaign. The goal of the campaign is to ensure that health care services reach every member of society.
It will be organising and administering the screening process for workers living in the Musaffah area. Free transportation to and from the testing centres will be provided.
With the current priority being the safety of all and limiting the spread of the disease, legal measures will not be taken against those violating the conditions of residency.
In addition to testing and sterilisation, the campaign will be implementing intensive educational programs to raise awareness of precautionary and preventive measures in the local languages of the resident workers.
The competent authorities confirmed that the campaign will be implemented gradually to include all the targeted basins in Mussafah, respectively. Coordination will be with the basins according to the sterilisation and examination plan, with the continuation of business activities during the implementation of the campaign in the selected region, and restricting entry and exit traffic to and from the region.
The duration of sterilisation in each basin depends on the area of the basin and the procedures for comprehensive checks of people, and to ensure that sterilisation is carried out according to the plan in place, before moving to the next basin.
