UAE sets Dhs100,000 fine, six months jail for law breakers during emergencies

The UAE has implemented a new national safety law designed to restrict the transmission of COVID-19.
The new law is a part of the government’s ‘Stay Home' initiative.
A hefty fine of Dhs100,000 and jail sentence of up 6 months have been announced for the violators of new law.
The new law comes under the purview of the regulations laid out by the National Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) and has to be followed during all emergencies, crises.
