The Department of Health-Abu Dhabi on Saturday has started implementing a campaign to disinfect the Musaffah area, in partnership with the competent authorities. It also conducted free COVID-19 screening for in the docks "3, 5, 6 and 23", while the business activity continued during the campaign in the selected docks, restricting entry to and exit from the area.
The National Screening Drive is an initiative launched with the aim of conducting 335,000 medical tests for residents and workers in Musaffah area and raising awareness among them about the preventive measures required to curb infection with the virus.

The department explained that the campaign aims to ensure the access of health care services to all segments of society. In conjunction with this, the department decided to provide the screening services for the workers exceptionally from 9pm to 2am, indicating that no legal measures were or would be taken against those who staying illegally in the country, as the priority is safety of everyone to curb the spread of the virus.
The national screening drive aims to provide medical examinations for COVID-19 to the residents of Abu Dhabi.
“The sterilisation period in the four docks will continue until the completion of comprehensive screening, and ensure that sterilisation is carried out according to the plan in place, before moving to the next docks,” the department of health said.
The campaign includes conducting intensive programmes to raise awareness of precautionary and preventive measures in various languages. The residents in the target docks showed full cooperation and response to the instructions issued by the campaigners.
This comes within the framework of the national screening drive, which aims to provide medical examinations for COVID-19 to the largest possible number of residents in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The project was launched in cooperation between 6 entities, including the Department of Health-Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, Abu Dhabi Police, Department of Economic Development- Abu Dhabi, Municipalities and Transport Department, and Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship.
Recently, Abu Dhabi Police deployed face masks and personal protective supplies among residents of a number of areas in Abu Dhabi, including Musaffah, Al Mafraq and Al Shawamekh in addition to Al Ain City, as part of the "For Your Safety" Campaign.
The police patrol officers advised the public to comply with the precautionary measures taken by the country and the directives issued by competent departments to avoid COVID-19, including social distancing protocols, frequent hand-washing and steering clear of mass gatherings and large community events.
Within the same context, Abu Dhabi Police carried out an anti-coronavirus awareness campaign in the industrial areas of Al Ain City.
