UAE to allow residents to travel abroad starting June 23

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation (MOFAIC), the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (FAIC) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) announced that effective from June 23, 2020, UAE citizens and residents would be allowed to travel to specific destinations.
The authorities said the conditions and procedures would be announced later in light of the preventive and precautionary measures taken by the UAE to curb the spread of Covid-19.

A statement issued by MOFAIC, FAIC and NCEMA said that for this purpose, a list of the allowed destinations and the groups authorised to travel would be announced later together with the procedures that UAE citizens and residents must abide by before, during and after returning from travel.
The statement clarified that this action comes in light of the positive developments and indicators revealed by the ongoing evaluation process by the competent authorities at the level of confronting the Covid-19, which proved the success of the measures taken by the UAE in this regard.
