The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, shared an adorable video and photos of sea turtles on the occasion of World Sea Turtle Day.
Sheikh Hamdan released a number of turtles into the Jumeriah waters near Burj Al Arab hotel.
The video starts with Sheikh Hamdan holding onto a baby turtle. He then releases the baby on the beach. The struggling turtle makes its way into the waters.
Sheikh Hamdan then releases adult turtles into the sea from a fishing boat.
The video has an enchanting tune that captivates us throughout the entire clip.

The lives of turtles are in danger with 8 million tonnes of plastic dumped in our oceans every year. One sea turtle out of two has ingested plastic — often mistaking it for food such as jellyfish.
In fact, six out of seven species of marine turtle are threatened with extinction.

After initial treatment at Burj Al Arab Jumeirah's Aquarium, they are brought to health at the Turtle Rehabilitation Sanctuary at Jumeirah Al Naseem, where you can see them in the lagoon - and feed them — as they recover before being released.
Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project said on Facebook, “Today, on World Sea Turtle Day, we were very honoured to be accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
