UAE issues travel guidelines for residents with certain conditions

The UAE Health and Prevention Minister Abdul Rahman Al-Owais said, “UAE leads the world in the number of examinations per person, after we exceeded the barrier of 3 million examinations during a record period.”
The Health Ministry on Wednesday announced that it has conducted over 39,000 COVID-19 tests, which revealed 382 new cases coronavirus.
This brings the total number of infections recorded in the country to 43,364 cases.
The Ministry said two people died of the COVID-19 complication, bringing the total deaths in to 295.
The total number of active cases so far in the country stands at 13,532 cases.
Ministry also announced that 676 patients have recovered fully after the treatment, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 29,537 cases.
Authorities have also issued guidelines for the people wishing to travel abroad with the aim of limiting the spread of the virus.
People over the age of seventy years will not be permitted to travel and it is advised to avoid travelling for people with chronic diseases in order to preserve their safety.
An international health insurance must be obtained with the traveller, valid for the entire travel period, and covering the destination for the traveller.
Saif Al Dhaheri, NCEMA UAE spokesperson said: Travellers to all destinations are required to register with ICA UAE prior to travelling and take COVID-19 test 48 hours before the time of departure.
“Travel to medium-risk destinations will be allowed in certain conditions and applicable to specific groups. Citizens and residents plan to travel to these countries need to meet the requirements specified by UAE government.
Al Dhaheri said, “Starting June 23rd, UAE citizens and residents will be allowed to travel to specific destinations, as per certain conditions and procedures and while taking precautionary measures to protect their health.
