Dubai International Airport operations are ramping up at DXB Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, the authorities have announced on Thursday. The authorities have said that the safety of customers and staff remains our top priority.
Authorities have also issued guidelines for the people wishing to travel abroad with the aim of limiting the spread of the virus.
The airport body said if you are departing from Dubai, it is essential that you follow the three points below.
Important instructions:
1. Only ticket holders are allowed to enter the terminal.
2. It is necessary to arrive at the airport no later than 4 hours before their flight.
3. Passengers must wear masks and gloves.
Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman, Dubai Airports and Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group said, “The government’s announcement to ease travel for citizens and residents between the UAE and certain countries from 23 June, reflects our country’s well-planned approach to resuming travel, tourism and other economic activities, while safeguarding our communities from COVID-19.”
Passengers travelling through DXB Terminal 3 can now shop at Dubai Duty Free, which has reopened in Concourse B — West. The team has worked hard to ensure preventive measures are in place for the safety of passengers and staff.
To make shopping even easier, Dubai Duty Free has now added a concierge service to help with purchases and the click and collect service is still available for those who prefer to shop online, with a 5% discount.
Meanwhile, Dubai hotels have started to roll out attractive promotions for UAE residents.
Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), said, “The initiative by the hospitality sector to restart operations by primarily targeting the domestic market is an important first step in our phased approach towards restoring normalcy in the tourism industry.
“By reviving and increasing demand for domestic tourism, we hope to create a positive perception and a conducive environment aimed at instilling confidence among travellers from around the world who plan to visit Dubai.”
Saif Al Dhaheri, NCEMA UAE spokesperson said: Travellers to all destinations are required to register with ICA UAE prior to travelling and take COVID-19 test 48 hours before the time of departure.
“Travel to medium-risk destinations will be allowed in certain conditions and applicable to specific groups. Citizens and residents plan to travel to these countries need to meet the requirements specified by UAE government.
Al Dhaheri said, “Starting June 23rd, UAE citizens and residents will be allowed to travel to specific destinations, as per certain conditions and procedures and while taking precautionary measures to protect their health.
