Asian locked up for molesting woman after she refused his 'one night rent' offer

The Dubai Public Prosecution referred an unemployed 28-year-old Asian man to the criminal court for sexually assaulting a 21-year-old Asian woman after she refused his offer to live with him in the same apartment.

Official records indicate that the victim was at her residence when she received a phone call from the defendant, asking her to meet him in the building’s main reception.

The victim agreed to talk to him and asked him to meet her at her apartment.

During their talk, the defendant asked whether the victim was married and she stated she wasn't, so he claimed to know an apartment which had a lower rent for the victim to stay in.

The victim nervously stated that she was comfortable with her current apartment and would like to remain there with her roommates.

The sneaky defendant surprised the victim by suddenly asking if she could visit his apartment in the presence of his friends for one night for Dhs250 – 'rent for a night.'

The victim furiously shouted at the defendant when he suddenly grabbed her and sexually harassed her.

The victim immediately informed her friends about the incident and filed a police report against the defendant.

The victim reached out for two of her male friends, who showed up at the apartment and caught the defendant.

Witnesses stated to police that the defendant had admitted to molesting  the victim and offered his apology to her, but she insisted on taking legal action against him and ensuring that he received his punishment.
