VIDEO: UAE completes Disinfection Programme, lifts coronavirus-related restrictions

The UAE has lifted its coronavirus-related curfew, it posted on Twitter on Wednesday.
"All members of society are allowed to freely enter and exit throughout the day without restrictions," it said in an announcement also tweeted by the country's National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA).
The spokesperson for the NCEMA, Dr Saif Dhaheri gave a briefing on the National Disinfection Programme on Wednesday.
Dhaheri announced that UAE has lifted the Coronavirus–related curfew starting today, Wednesday.
Dhaheri said, “Today we announce the completion of the National Disinfection Programme, which covered the country’s public facilities and transportation. However, the public buildings will continue to be regularly disinfected.
Dr. Al Dhaheri also said, “Children under 12 years old will be allowed entry to shopping centers, retail shops and restaurants across the country.
“We urge the public to continue to follow health practices and abide by the precautionary measures taken by UAE Government to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.”
Dr. Al Dhaheri said, “We remind the public to continue to avoid gatherings and family visits, follow social distancing guidelines and continue to wear face masks when leaving home.”
Dr. Al Dhaheri said, “It is compulsory to follow the three-passenger limit per vehicle if not from the same family. However, members of the same family are allowed to travel in the same vehicle."
In Dubai, the Supreme Committee of Crisis & Disaster Management also announced the completion of the National Sterilisation Programme, in line with NCEMA, allowing free movement all day and night, subject to compliance to precautionary measures including wearing masks & social distancing.
With the restriction being lifted, Dubai’s laid-back beachfront The Beach Dubai welcomed visitors and beachgoers amid stringent precautionary measures to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being.
