The Family Forum Centre affiliated to the Sharjah Social Services Department, SSSD, announced the implementation of 1,013 family sessions for children of separated families during the 1st half of 2020, adhering to all preventive and precautionary measures that the government has directed to preserve the safety and health of employees, children and their families.
Commenting on this, Fayza Hassan Khabab, Director of the Family Forum Centre, has highlighted the importance of implementing such family gatherings, adding that the centre achieved about 1,013 family sessions for children of separated families, including 721 family gatherings inside the centre, and 292 gatherings across homes to enable separated parents to see children without coming to the centre.
She continued that 159 parent-children visual meetings have been implemented for the children of the inmates of the Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishment of the Sharjah Police.
She underscored the importance of such meetings between the children and their separated parents, lauding the efforts of the Family Forum Center in promoting such gatherings.
OVER 9000 MOSQUES IN UAE: In 2019, the number of mosques and musallas in the UAE reached 9,083 and 163 respectively, according to statistics released by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority, FCSA.
Mosques with a capacity of more than 100 worshippers accounted for 85 per cent of the total number with 301 mosques each accommodating more than 1,000 worshippers.
Figures also showed that the workforce in these mosques, which included imams, muezzins, preachers and workers, stood at 6,089.
RAK ORDER: Ras Al Khaimah Government offices will resume work with a 100 per cent capacity of the workforce from Sunday, July 5.
The Ras Al Khaimah Department of Human Resources has circulated the decision that includes cancelling all exceptions granted to employees of the emirate’s government. The exceptions are limited to only one category of employees with chronic diseases on the submission of a detailed medical report approved by the relevant medical committee.
The move aims to ensure a safe return to business normalcy, with the continuous adherence to precautionary measures and preventive instructions in place to safeguard the safety of employees, in line with guidelines and measures taken to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic. The decision stresses the importance of the government departments to adhere to the instructions related to professional safety and health with an emphasis on social distancing to the employees.
