UAE conducts 62,028 new COVID-19 tests, reports 402 new cases

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) on Wednesday announced that it conducted 62,028 new COVID-19 tests, which revealed 402 new cases of infection.
This brings the total number of coronavirus cases recorded in the country to 49,069.
The Ministry also announced the recovery of 594 patients after treatment, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 38,160.
The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in the country reached 316 on Wednesday after the announcement of one more death. The number of active cases still undergoing treatment are 10,593.
Dr Amna Al Shamsi, spokesperson for the UAE government, said during the daily briefing that the number of COVID-19 tests in the UAE exceeded the barrier of 3.5 million tests nationwide.
“The average daily recovery cases increased from 500 cases in May to 654 cases in June,” she said.
“And the average daily reported cases have come down from 712 in May to 470 in June.”
