Emiratis and residents can travel abroad with precautionary procedures

The UAE has announced that Emiratis and residents are now allowed to travel abroad according to a circular issued by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) in coordination with state authorities.   

The NCEMA said, “The State of the Emirates, represented by the National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, announces that it has become available for citizens and residents to travel in general in accordance with the health requirements in force at the country's airports and according to international destinations’ requirements.

It also said, “Compulsory requirements must be adhered to before departure and upon arrival from travel destinations where Emiratis are required to register in ‘Twajudi service’ (only for Emiratis) during the travel and to perform a Covid-19 examination before travel, depending on the health regulations in the desired destination, which may require a recent result that may not exceed 48 hours from the date of travel.”

It is advised people over the age of 70 years not to travel, and it is advised for people with chronic diseases to avoid travelling in order to preserve their safety.

The return of residents also requires that there be no violation or conflict with the declared procedures and conditions that regulate all issues and requirements of return, the most important of which is the pre-examination in the countries where laboratories are available.

Dubai Airports said, “We’re welcoming back several airline partners to DXB this week, operating from both Terminals 2 and 3. Customers must check their tickets or consult with their airline to confirm their terminal before coming to the airport. #DXBReady.”
