A fire broke out in a wood factory locating in Umm Al Ramool area, Dubai on Monday afternoon, according to official sources at the the Dubai Civil Defense.
The firefighting squads were immediately dispatched from Al Rashidiya, Al Qusais, Nad Al Sheba and Port Said civil defense stations to the scene, where they proceeded with the extinguishing operations, the sources added.
It was also indicated that the operations room of the civil defense was alerted about the fire at 2:32 p.m. on Monday, as the firefighting teams reached the scene in 3 minutes from reporting the incident.
A thick black smoke was seen arising from the burnt wood that existed in an open warehouse, the civil defense in Dubai reported.
The extinguishing operations continued for one hour, followed by the cooling processes. No casualties were reported, the civil defense added.
The scene has been then examined by the competent authorities to disclose the reasons of the fire.
