Dubai Airport Terminal 3 received its first visitors since the closure of the airport due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai in a series of videos confirmed that the airport has received families and residents who were stranded abroad.
The videos were shared around 12.30pm on Tuesday.
The video shows that travellers adhering to the mandatory preventive measure put in place by the UAE.
The Customs officials were also seen wearing the facemasks.

Social distancing was maintained with paper works were done at desk kept at distances.
Some residents were happy to be back in country.
The GDRFA also said residents with valid visa will not be rejected. Their application will be scheduled accordingly so that they can enter the country without hassle.

The Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) Saif Mohammad Al Suwaidi made a surprised visit to Dubai Airport to inspect the facilities as it is opened to welcome tourists from Tuesday.
The team was briefed about the most important health measures and procedures followed throughout the airport and assured of achieving the highest levels of safety for airport users.
The measures included a series of precautionary initiatives, which ensure the health and safety of travellers, while maintaining the smooth flow of air traffic, in conjunction with the decision to open flights and allow citizens and residents to travel and receive visitors.
Saif Mohammad Al Suwaidi was accompanied during the tour by Jamal Al Hayy, Vice President of Dubai Airports, Brigadier Ali Ateeq Bin Lahej, Director of the General Department of Airport Security, and Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed Bin Dylan Al Mazrouei, Deputy Director of the General Department of Airport Security and representatives from Dubai Customs and Emirates Airlines.
