Asian national jailed for beating man to death in Dubai

The Dubai Public Prosecution referred a 33 years-old Asian to criminal court for brutally assaulting a man and causing his death.
The victim’s friend witnessed that on the day of the incident, he gathered with the victim, the defendant and another friend to drink together and spend time.
When the witness went to the washroom and came out, his phone was nowhere to be found. When he asked about the phone, the defendant accused the victim of stealing it, and the two of them began to fight.
They both began to beat each other, until the defendant kicked the victim hard in the chest, and left him lying on the floor.
Two days later, the defendant went back to their gathering place to learn that the victim had died due to his injuries.
Forensic reports revealed that the victim had died under the influence of alcohol and his death was caused by the brutal beating.
The defendant confessed to assaulting the victim, and is now jailed and facing manslaughter charges.
