The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, announced results for the class 12th exams on Monday after much delay and uncertainty. Most of the schools responded positively as the results were well up to their expectation. However, many students were not satisfied as examination was not conducted for a few subjects due to COVID-19 pandemic and marks were allotted as per the new scheme.
Rashmi Nandkeolyar, Principal and Director of Delhi Private School (DPS) Dubai said, “In the current circumstances, the CBSE has responded with dynamism and agility by rationalising the results. This action has benefitted all students who can now confirm their admissions in universities. We are delighted that our students have performed brilliantly, with a class average of 90.7%.”

A total of 541 students of the Indian High School, Dubai, appeared for the examination. They appeared for 21 subjects on multiple combinations of Science, Commerce and Humanities. Kishita Gidwani of humanities topped in the school with 99.2% marks. Navya Ratnan topped in the science stream with 98%. Syed Mohammed Muzzamm stood first among students of commerce stream with 98.2%.
At DPS Dubai, Shriya Kunkumalla of the Humanities stream was the topper with 98.2%. Subah Bhatia stood second with 97.8%. Thasneem Syed Abuthahir, the Commerce topper in the school scored 97.8%. Second position was shared by Shree Hari and Dale Maria Lobo with 97.6% each. Science stream topper Devyani Goyal also scored 97.8%, Ananya Khullar came second with 96.4%.
At Gulf Indian High School Dubai, Sreelakshmi Pullanikkat of science stream topped with 97% marks followed by Abhishek Sreekumar Nair (96.8%), Syed Abdul Qader (96%) and Adeeba Habeeb (94.2%). In the commerce stream, Thushar Dayaldas Lalwani stood first with 92.8% followed by Anusha Fouziya Dias (90.8%) came second.
New Indian Model School, Dubai, had presented 147 students for the examination. In Science stream Fathima Riza stood first with 96.4%, Saadiya Liakhat Ali stood second with 96.2 % and Muhammed Saad M stood third with 95%. In Commerce stream Hisana Sandra stood first with 95.4%, Arthi Anbalagan stood second with 95.2% and Megha Chaturvedi stood third with 95%
New Indian Model School, Sharjah, also reported excellent results as all 75 students came out successfully. In Science stream, Ihab Mohammed stood first with 93.8% and Ponsuganth Muthuraman stood second with 92.8%. The third position with 91.8 was shared by Mohammed Farook and Mariam. In Commerce stream Amrath Haris stood first with a commendable 97.2%, Fidha stood second with 87% and Mohammed Shafaz stood third with 84.6%.
A total of 443 students from Sharjah Indian School, Sharjah, sat for the examination. Devika Raveendran of commerce was the school topper with 96.8%, closely followed by science topper Abdulla Ameen with 96.2%.
The Emirates National School, Sharjah, presented 160 students and scored 100% result. Ranjana Kambhammettu topped with 96.8%, second position shared by Vishnu Radhakrishnan and Maryam Naseer Khan with each scoring 96.4%. Joanna Eliza Abraham and Ratiba Sulthana shared third position with 96.2% each. In commerce stream, Kesia Sarah Joseph stood first with 97.2%, Rukaiya Husain Ustad came second with 95.2% and Shreya Elizabeth Thomas third 95%.
The Model School, Abu Dhabi, presented 25 students for the examination. The average mark of the school is 80 %. Akhara Pradeep stands first in the school with 95.4% % marks, followed by Hiba Shaji with 93 %, and Fetha Fathima and Amina Naveed with 90 % marks.
At Indian School, Ras Al Khaimah, Arya Sunilkumar Patel of science stream got the top honour with 98.2%, followed by Abrar Rehan, Muhamed Nebuhan Shajahan, Avani Sharma and Sheikh Shahadat with 95.6%. Tanya George (95.4%) came third. In Commerce Stream, Jaslyn Samantha D’Souza stood first with 95.4%, followed by Shaikh Shohaib (92.2%.), Asif Muhammed TV Nousad came third with 91.4%.
