No one disagrees that the UAE people are on a renewed date with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, issuing decisions that would bring joy to UAE citizens and residents.
Because they are indebted to him for such initiatives, the UAE citizens and residents decided to return the favour by launching a #sheikhmohammed_bin_rashid on social media to celebrate his birthday, the day which brought prosperity to everyone in the UAE. The hashtag, however, goes beyond the UAE to all Arabs marking the comprehensive boom experienced by the UAE, thanks to the aspirations of the UAE wise leadership.
The early morning hours saw many posts in which the UAE sheikhs and ministers congratulated Sheikh Mohammed on his birthday, wishing him good health and long life and expressing gratitude for his achievements that became a source of inspiration to all Arab youth.
First, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, tweeted ‘Happy Birthday’. Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, also congratulated Sheikh Mohammed on his birthday. He said: :His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s birthday is a great day to the UAE and UAE people in which we celebrate our leader, teacher, example, inspirer and source of our pride.”
Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, tweeted ‘Happy Birthday’ on his account, while Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, tweeted “Happiest birthday to the best Dad anyone could ever wish for.”
Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports, tweeted: “We are celebrating today His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and his keen vision, which rendered the UAE among the best countries of the world. We are grateful for his wise leadership, great and inspiring achievements and his dedication in serving our nation. Happy Birthday.”
Omer Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, tweeted: “Happy Birthday. May Allah preserve you because you are the source of pride of all Arabs.” Similar tweets were posted by Mariam Bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Muhairi, Minister of State for Food and Water Security, Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, TV presenter Mustafa Al Agha and Actress Mayssa Maghribi.
Emirates Airlines also tweeted ‘Happy Birthday’ to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed. Other greetings were received from Abdullah Al Buloosh, Ali Al Zaabi, Hazza Abul Reesh, Mohammed Al Suwaidi. Rawdha Al Hashimi, Noor Atatrah, Adnan Mohammed Al Hammadi and Mohammed Hilal.
SUQIA HOLDS MEETING: The Board of Trustees of the UAE Water Aid Foundation (Suqia), under the umbrella of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, MBRGI, held its fourth meeting in 2020 in a video conference, chaired by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
These included Fahad Abdelrahman Bin Sultan, Deputy Secretary-General for International Aid at the Emirates Red Crescent and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Suqia; Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for International Development Affairs; Dr Ahmed Ali Murad, Dean of the College of Science at UAE University; Nasser Lootah, Executive Vice President of Generation at DEWA; Waleed Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence at DEWA; Mohammed Abdulkareem Al Shamsi, Acting Executive Director of Suqia, and Fahad bin Afira Al Falasi, Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Suqia.
They discussed Suqia UAE’s contribution to the 10 Million Meals campaign, which helped people in need and mitigated the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
