The Dubai Public Prosecution referred two unemployed African men to criminal court after they broke into four different vehicles in Al Nahda 2 Area, and stole their items from the vehicles.
Official records indicate that the two defendants had stolen an iPhone 7 from the first vehicle, a wallet containing 2 credit cards, multiple credentials, and Dhs900 from the second vehicle, a Samsung tablet, a wallet containing 3 credit cards, credentials and Dhs220 from the third vehicle, and an iPhone 7 from the fourth vehicle.
A police officer testified that they have received multiple calls from the four victims, reporting about the robbery, and stating that their vehicles were parked in a mosque’s parking lot at prayer time, when they came out of the mosque to realize that their vehicle’s belongings were missing.
Police investigations revealed the identity of the two suspects, after referring back to the multiple similar thefts and they were both arrested.
The two defendants confessed to committing the robberies and stated that they have split the stolen items among each other.
