In line with its plan to expand and increase tests across the UAE to detect COVID-19 patients and isolate their associates, the Ministry of Health and Prevention announced it conducted more than 48,000 additional tests over the past 24 hours.
The tests were conducted among different segments of the society, using the best and latest medical examination techniques.
As a result of the tests, some 281 new COVID-19 cases of different nationalities were detected across the UAE.
The ministry said that all the cases are stable and are receiving the necessary healthcare.
This brings the total number of registered cases to 56,129.
The ministry also announced that 994 additional COVID-19 cases had fully recovered from the COVID-19 symptoms, bringing the total number of recoveries to 47,412.
No COVID-19 related death was noted over the past 24 hours, the ministry said.
