The Sharjah Police teams revealed that their search and rescue mission have resulted in finding the body of a 17-year-old boy who drowned at Kalba Sea.
The search mission began on Sunday afternoon, immediately after police have received a call reporting the incident.
Police collaborated with teams from the National Search and Rescue Centre, Border Guard and Coast Guard, in order to find the missing boy.
The search mission lasted for continuous 10 hours after the missing persons report was filed, and the boy’s body was finally found. It was transferred to Kalba Hospital.
Sharjah Police expressed their sincere condolences to the boy’s family, and urged all members of the society to follow swimming instructions and choose safe swimming spots in order to keep their safety and wellbeing.
