Minister of Health and Community Protection Abdul Rahman Al-Owais praised first line of defense in the UAE.
Al-Owais said, “We highly appreciate our frontline heroes of doctors, nurses and healthcare providers who are spending Eid AlAdha away from their families, to keep us safe and healthy. We will always remember and value their relentless efforts.”
It is the responsibility of every one of us to abide by the regulations and measures put in place to protect the pubic health. Following simple practices like social distancing is effective in preventing the spread of Covid-19. We wish a blessed Eid for all.”
Al Owais said, “Commitment to the instructions and preventive measures during the holiday period is necessary.”
Dr Omar Al Hammadi, Spokesperson for the UAE Government said that we still see some cases in the country.

Al-Hammadi said, “We are still monitoring many cases of infection in the members of one family, whether citizens or residents, as a result of non-commitment. These people announced special gatherings and celebrations, in which the physical distance and wearing of masks, and observance of precautionary measures were not observed.”
Five families were infected, and approximately 47 individuals of different ages, some attended a wedding, and some attended family gathering, without the regard to social distancing or taking preventive measures.
Dr Al Hammadi said, “While we observe the occasion of Eid Al Adha, it is important to follow health advice and precautionary measures to protect our health and the health of our families. We urge the public to follow social distancing guidelines.”
