Sunny weather during Eid holidays: NCM

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) predicts Friday’s weather to be fair in general and partly cloudy at times. Clouds may appear eastward, become convective by afternoon, with an increase in temperature.
According to NCM, the winds will be light to moderate, southeasterly to northeasterly in general, freshening at times, with a speed of 18–30, reaching 40km/hr. The sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea.
NCM also expects temperatures during Eid Al Adha holiday to be between 40-45ºC across the country.
According to NCM, the weather on Saturday will be hazy and partly cloudy at times. Low clouds will appear over the eastern coast by the morning, with a chance of convective clouds formation over some eastern and southern areas by the afternoon.
The winds will be light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times, blowing dust and sand, with a speed of 18–30, reaching 42km/hr. The sea will be moderate, becoming rough at times during daytime in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in Oman Sea.
The NCM predicts Sunday weather to be hazy and partly cloudy at times, and low clouds to appear over the eastern coast by morning, with a probability of convective clouds formation over some eastern and southern areas by the afternoon.

Early July, the National Centre of Meteorology had announced it carried out 219 cloud seeding operations across the country in the first half of 2020, using a total of 4,841 flares produced by NCM’s Emirates Weather Enhancement Factory, as well as 419 ground generator flares.
NCM’s cloud seeding operations demonstrate the importance placed by the UAE on providing sustainable water resources through encouraging research and innovation in water-related technologies.
With an average rainfall of 100 mm per year, the UAE is ranked among the water stressed countries, and its ambitious rain enhancement programme aims to increase the annual precipitation levels in an effort to enhance the country’s water security through augmenting its strategic groundwater resources.
