A Filipino couple from the capital are among the most joyful this season of Eid Al Adha, as God has blessed them with a son, a second after 12 midnight struck on Thursday evening for a brand new day.

The family of the first baby was extremely delighted to welcome a gift into this world on the auspicious day of Eid Al Adha, while baby Jenzo was born at 00:01Hrs in Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi.
New parents were 37-year-old Joven Santos Bautista and 34-year-old Jenalyn Nacion Briones. They see "so much joy and hope” in this COVID19 times in their son, Jenzo Venedict Bautista.

Obstetrics and Gynaecologist consultant Dr Fady Georges Hachem said: "We are glad the delivery went smoothly. Both mother and child are in good health. We celebrate the birth of baby Jenzo on this special day. Babies born on a significant day bring added joy and give more reason for families to celebrate.”
The Bautistas said: "We are blessed to have our baby come into this world on the first day of the Eid Al Adha. A pandemic with consequent restrictions has dampened the spirit of the festive season. But the birth of our child brings so much joy and hope. We will cherish this moment forever.”
Doubly happy too was Indian couple Balpreet Singh and Reema Kochar. They welcomed their second child, a daughter this time, at 4:16am at Medcare Women and Children’s Hospital in Dubai.

Telephone interviewed, Singh said: "The past four to five months had been so tense because of COVID-19. The birth of our baby girl brings so much happiness. It removed the tension. She is almost three kilos (2.94 kilogrammes). We have a five-year-old son.”
Third to be blessed with were Nigerian husband-and-wife Iyke Ikechu and Ngozi Ihechilurum.
Ihechilurum delivered by Caesarian Section their 2.24-kg baby girl at 5:34am at the Thumbay University Hospital in Ajman.
The fourth new family is Hatem Mohamed, Eman Rafat and their 2.995-kg son, Malik. It was a normal delivery at 8:20am at the Canadian Specialist Hospital in Dubai.
