Dubai Public Prosecution referred to the criminal court on Tuesday a 33-year-old Asian female working for an insurance company after being charged with conniving with a compatriot to seize more than Dhs1,300,000 from clients of the insurance company.
Details of the case date back to January and May 2017, when the suspect embezzled 43 cheques worth Dhs1,300,000, the value of settlement of insurance contracts of the victims.

The accountant’s report proved the first suspect embezzled Dhs1,100,000 through cheques to pay their dues in cash, as the company authorised her to receive the insurance premiums.
According to the case papers, the suspect connived with her compatriot to cash these cheques.
The court ordered that they remain in custody pending the case.
