The Ministry of Community Development is conducting a community study entitled "The Pros of Completing Marriage Without Wedding Ceremonies", as part of promoting positive societal attitudes in the current circumstances. The purpose of the study is to benefit from reality experiences to develop and highlight positive community behaviour that is consistent with the ministry's vision “A cohesive family." A coherent community”.
The Ministry invited all the community members to participate in the study to enable all concerned authorities to create a platform and a supportive environment for sustaining spending less costs on wedding ceremonies in the current and future circumstances by encouraging future spouses not to waste expenses on these weddings and limit expenditure and change them into a meaningful goal in order to form cohesive families.

The Ministry will announce the e-survey study link through its digital platforms and social media channels to measure the views of the society members of all groups and ages, for the purpose of exploring community indicators and trends within scientific research, in order to contribute to family cohesion and promote the initiatives and activities of the Ministry of Community Development.
Wahida Khalil Darwish, Director of Marriage Grants Department at the Ministry of Community Development, confirmed that the ministry’s study depended on the consequences of the precautionary measures taken by the UAE to protect Emiratis and residents from the novel coronavirus-COVID 19 by monitoring a successful marriage without wedding ceremonies from January to June 2020 and taking this opportunity for all future spouses to reduce wedding expenses, rationalise consumption, and thus increase the chances of successful marriages to form a cohesive family and a stable family.
She also emphasised cooperation with national universities and colleges to stimulate the participation of the youth group in the study.
The study measures in 18 questions many facts and variables, including the positive aspects of marriage without wedding ceremonies in terms of: marriage completion, happiness of spouses, happiness of family and relatives, happiness of friends and acquaintances, reducing the costs of marriage.
All future young future spouses and different community members can participate in the survey and support the ministry's efforts to complete the study of the "Pros of completing marriage without wedding ceremonies" by answering the questions via the link: https://msurvey.government.ae/survey/MSA/cnX/
