Al Dhafra Municipality reopens parks

In line with the Department of Municipalities and Transport’s plan, Al Dhafra Municipality reopened public parks, with standards coping with the best practices which contribute to limiting the spread of the coronavirus.

The municipality indicated public parks were opened at the level of the region’s cities, in addition to the opening of the beach of Al Marfa city, to receive visitors, with the aim of providing various recreational places for the residents and visitors of the region.

The department, in coordination with The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), announced the reopening of a number of parks and beaches in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to gradually restore normal life.

“We have completed the necessary preventive measures to reopen public parks in the region's cities and in the Al Marfa city beach with continuous cleaning and sterilisation of public facilities and the provision of sterilisers at the entrances before and during the visitors' presence hours, to maintain the health and safety of the community,” the Municipality added.

The measures taken by the municipality included providing tents for the thermal examination through thermal cameras, reducing the capacity to 40 per cent, ensuring the spacing in the parking area is 50 per cent, and placing floor stickers with a distance of two metres, to achieve social distancing.
