African muggers steal handbag from lady in Dubai

Two African men were jailed and referred to criminal court for mugging a woman in the street, restraining her movement and stealing her handbag in Naif Area.

The victim’s handbag contained her phone, wallet including Dhs1,400, and an ATM card.

During investigations, the victim testified that she was walking towards her home, and as soon as she reached the building’s elevator, the two defendants attacked her from the back.

One of the defendants restrained her and covered her mouth, while the other pulled the bag from her hands.

They snatched the bag, pushed the victim to the ground and fled the scene.

Surveillance cameras and investigations revealed the defendants’ identity, and they both confessed to the committed charges.
