Ajman Centre for Social Responsibility (Ajman CSR), an initiative of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with a fashion and lifestyle retail conglomerate and the International Humanitarian and Charity Organisation (IHCO), implemented the ‘School Bag’ initiative, whereby more than 1,700 school bags were distributed among students from the first to ninth grades that are affiliated with the IHCO.

Commenting on the initiative, Nasser Al Dhafri, CEO of Ajman CSR, emphasised its importance, especially that it coincided with the return to school. It also came to relieve the burden on families, he added, explaining that one of the main goals of the Ajman CSR is to strengthen its partnership to ensure unification of efforts and the optimal use of the resources.
He also pointed out that the Centre sought to implement pioneering projects and initiatives in cooperation with public benefit institutions and the private sector. In addition, it strives to encourage the establishments to continue implementing various programmes and projects that feed into their vision and goals on one side and serve members of society on the other hand, he added.
On his part, Dr. Khaled Abdelwahab Al Khaja, Executive Director of the IHCO, thanked the Ajman CSR and Apparel Group for implementing the initiative, which was in line with the plans and projects of the IHCO that aimed at providing appropriate educational tools for school students. He also highlighted the role of the initiative in drawing smiles on the faces of students and ease the burden on families.
