With the beginning of the new school year, Ajman Department of Economic Development carried out a control campaign over outlets of sale of school materials in terms of libraries and stationery shops in various areas.
The inspection campaign’s purpose was to ensure that products and commodities are available at controlled prices, ensuring that price tags are fixed on the materials.
In addition, the Economic Department shall ensure that there are no violations of commercial cheating such as difference between the shelf price and the prices provided in the accounting devices.
Maher Butti Al Suwaidi, Manager of Consumer Protection Division, clarified that the campaign is part of the annual plan of control of markets during seasons in which demand increases on a certain commodity.
In addition, it was confirmed that inspection visits shall continue, and students and parents are asked to report any remarks or complaints by contacting Ajman Government Contact Center (80070) or to file a complaint through the website or the immediate conversation service.
