The Dubai Public Prosecution has referred three Asians to the Criminal Court on charges of possessing fake €15,000.
One of the defendants is still at large.
The case dates back to last March when the first and second defendants visited a money exchange store where they gave the employee 30 banknotes of €500 denominations.
The employee, however, discovered that the money was fake through the currency testing machine.
He immediately notified the manager, who, in turn, reported the incident to the police.
During the Public Prosecution’s interrogations, the defendants confessed to having received the money from another man who was still at large. The court ordered that the defendants be remanded in custody.
