The United Arab Emirates have achieved a recovery rate of 90% in COVID-19 and mortality rate of 0.5% considered amongst the lowest in the world.
The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority said, “Our first line of defence heroes accomplished distinctive achievements that highlighted the UAE Model in combating the COVID-19 pandemic as an exemplary standard.
“We have exceeded 7.5 million tests, aiming to lead the highest tests per capita worldwide.”
The dedicated efforts and positive achievements from the various sectors require a continuation collective effort and a heightened responsibility from our community.
The NCEMA said, “Lack of practicing precautionary and safety protocols by an individual have led to the infection of his wife, widening the spread to 3 families, resulting in 45 positive cases and an unfortunate death.
“We reiterate that we all share the responsibility in protecting our health and the health of those around us.”
“We call on everyone to commit and avoid social gatherings which could lead to the spread your virus to you and your loved ones.”
