The Ras Al Khaimah Police have arrested an Asian groom for holding a wedding in a wedding hall in the emirate without adhering to the precautionary measures. The groom further posted videos of the wedding party on social media platforms reflecting lack of commitment by him and the invitees to safety and prevention measures.
The police confirmed taking all necessary legal measures against the "groom" who has been referred to the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Prosecution Office to complete the legal procedures.

The police stressed their concern for the safety and security of all members of society, and tolerating no one violating the regulations and laws in force to curb the spread of the COVID-19.
The Ras Al Khaimah Police explained that the "wedding party" lacked the approved and legally stipulated conditions and preventive measures for holding such parties to curb the spread of (COVID-19), in contravention of the decisions of the Attorney General regarding preventive measures to combat the virus.
