The UAE so far has conducted over 8 million COVID-19 tests since the pandemic began.
This was announced by Dr Omar Al Hammadi, Official Spokesperson for the UAE Government said during the briefing on Monday.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention announced on Monday that it has conducted 61,084 additional COVID-19 tests, which detected 777 new cases of the coronavirus.
This brings the total number of infections recorded in the country to 80,266.
Ministry also announced that 530 patients of COVID-19 have fully recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries in the UAE to 69,981 cases.
Ministry noted that no virus-related death was recorded during the past 24 hours.
The results of clinical trials in our country are moving on the right path, with all tests being successful so far.
In less than six weeks since the study began, 31,000 volunteers representing 125 nationalities have participated in the clinical trials.
