The Civil Defence teams and police patrols were able to bring under control a fire that broke out in four furniture warehouses in Al Jurf Industrial Area in Ajman. No casualties were reported as a result of the fire.
Brigadier Abdul Aziz Ali Al Shamsi, Director General of Ajman Civil Defence, pointed out that as soon as a fire report was received by the Operations Room at 3:27pm, the Civil Defence teams, police patrols and national ambulance rushed to the scene of the fire within a response time of 3 minutes only, which helped bring the fire under control and avoid any casualties.

The fire erupted in four furniture warehouses belonging to three different companies, he added, noting that three Civil Defence stations — Civil Defence Department, Al Jurf Civil Defence Station and Industrial Area Civil Defence Station — participated in fighting the fire under support of the Civil Defence departments in Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain and Ajman Municipality.
Investigation into why the fire broke out was initiated, he said.
