The Transform Awards Middle East and Africa continues celebrating the transformative power of branding and rebranding across the region in its seventh year.
This year, Gulf Today’s website won the Best External Stakeholder Relations award during a brand development project. It bagged the Gold gong along with its developer Omnia for its website design.
Gulf Today also won the Bronze for “Best visual identity from the technology, media and telecommunications sector” at the Transform Awards Middle East and Africa held on Tuesday at the V Hotel in Al Habtoor City, Dubai.
Gulf Today is one of the oldest newspapers in the UAE.
Along with a skilled Gulf Today team, led by Editor In Chief and author, Aysha Taryam, Omnia rendered a full digital transformation to its website.
Omnia rebuilt the Gulf Today website on Sitecore, highlighting that a user-friendly content management is key to the success of a news website.
In an email to Gulf Today, the Omnia team said, “We hope you are as excited as us about the award which recognises brand craftsmanship in the region.”
This year has been a particularly successful year in benchmarking the development of the brand industry in the MEA region, as seen from the 63 per cent increase in the number of companies taking part compared to last year. Though competitive, the judges felt the winners showcased excellence in the field of brand strategy.
“This is the seventh year the Transform Awards has benchmarked the transformative power of brand strategy and design across the Middle East and Africa. The Transform Awards has grown every year. But this year we saw phenomenal growth. This was – without any doubt – the toughest year to make the shortlist,” says Andrew Thomas, publisher of Transform magazine and founder of the Transform Awards MEA.
