A massive fire broke out in Jabal Amad in the Taif governorate in Makkah region in Saudi Arabia.
The fire destroyed large areas of governorate’s agricultural land.
The Civil Defence teams are battling the wildfire and have urged residents to stay away from the areas.
The civil defence teams in Maysan and competent authorities are continuing their operations to extinguish the fire that broke out on Wednesday.
The media spokesman for the Civil Defence in Makkah Region, Colonel Muhammad Bin Othman Al-Qarni, explained that the fire broke out in the woods where dry grass spread over a large area.
Colonel Al-Qarni said that competent teams rushed to the site with equipment and support of aviation sector.

The have stopped the fire from spreading over to other areas and evacuated the residents.
The authorities said that the rugged terrain and the weather conditions in the area contributed to the spread of the fire in separate locations.
The civil defence teams have gained 65% of the land against the wildfire.
Al-Qarni called upon the citizens and residents to stay away from the fire sites for their safety.
