Two engineers stabbed to death in Al Madam

The Sharjah Police are investigating an incident in which two Arab nationals were stabbed to death. The bodies, which received 18 stabs, were found in the victims’ workplace in Al Madam on Tuesday.

Al Madan Police Station received a report on Tuesday morning that two bodies of Arab engineers in their forties were found in front of a caravan-mosque at a construction worksite. The report was submitted by their workmate in charge of the bulldozers section. Two knives used in the murder were found near the bodies.

Criminal investigation and crime theatre teams rushed to the scene of the murder together with the national ambulance. The workmate said that before the bodies were found he had called the victims but they did not respond, adding that this pushed him to look for them.

While searching before Fajr prayers, the workmate found the two engineers lying dead in front of the mosque. The competent teams examined the bodies and the scene of the murder. Preliminary investigations showed that one of the engineers received 10 stabs and the other 8 stabs. Two sharp knives were used in the murder. The stabs covered all parts of the victims’ bodies.

The national ambulance transferred the bodies to Al Dhaid Hospital for death certificates before they would be taken to the forensic lab for further details.

A recent report said Sharjah Police were investigating the death of a young Asian man who fell from the balcony of a residential tower in Al Nahda.

The operations room at Sharjah Police received a report that an Asian man, 24, fell from the 10th floor of a residential tower in Al Nahda at around 6pm.

Police patrols, a criminal investigation team and national ambulance rushed to the scene of the incident where the man was found dead. He had succumbed to his injuries caused by the fall.

Investigations revealed the man had come to the UAE on a visit visa to look for a job.
