Ajman’s Department of Economic Development has temporarily closed two shopping centers in the Emirate for not complying with the UAE precautionary measures to contain the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Officials of the Inspection and Follow-up Section, stated that the extensive inspection campaigns carried out to the Emirate’s markets ensure the extent of compliance of facilities with the applicable precautionary measures and health requirements to curb the pandemic spread.
Inspection team dealt only with two shopping centres which failed to abide by the COVID-19 safety protocols.
Both centres were temporarily shut down for the public safety and health, and they will be opened later after ensuring all conditions and requirements are complied with.
The department stressed on the importance of compliance of all economic facilities in Ajman with the precautionary measures.
It was also confirmed that inspection visits will continue to ensure the universal adherence to the circulars issued by the competent entities and avoid any administrative and legal sanctions against offenders.
