The UAE celebrated Saudi Arabia's 90th National Day on Wednesday with pomp and vigour, while adhering to government guidelines to stem the spread of the coronavirus.
Dubai’s Burj Khalifa and Abu Dhabi’s ADNOC headquarters lit up in the Saudi colours to mark the event.
Burj Khalifa lit up in green and white to celebrate the joy, the achievements, and pride of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Burj Khalifa’s Twitter account said, “One sky unites us, and our history narrates tales of brotherhood and unity that forever remain unchanged. We wish our friends and brothers in Saudi Arabia peace and prosperity.”
ADNOC group shared a tweet which said,“Today, we are proud to celebrate #saudinationalday90…”

Dubai International Airport said on Twitter, “This Saudi National Day, we’re delighted to welcome back Saudi Airlines, once again operating regular services from DXB to Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.”
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been Abu Dhabi’s primary trading partner in non-oil sectors over the past 10 years with total trade value reaching Dhs493.8 billion. The value reflects the robust strategic partnership and aligned objectives, supported by both leaderships.

On the other hand, the flag of Saudi Arabia embellished Abu Dhabi International Airport in celebration of the National Day of the Kingdom, marking the close ties between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, especially in the fields of air transport and cargo.

Waleed Salem Al Hemeiri, Acting Deputy Chief Operations Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, commented: “The United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have enjoyed many years of close, fraternal ties, and it is our pleasure to mark that continued relationship today at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Abu Dhabi has taken extensive steps during the pandemic to ensure the safety of all living in the city, and as the Kingdom recommences international flights, we want to reassure Saudi nationals of their safety in visiting Abu Dhabi.”
