Abu Dhabi Police arrested a four-person Asian gang that tried to sell 573,000 tablets of Captagon, in an operation called Al-Oyoun Al-Sahira.
Colonel Taher Gharib Al Dhaheri, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate in the Criminal Security Sector in Abu Dhabi Police, revealed that they got a tip-off of the gang intentions.
The tip-off received, informed the police about the existence of a gang seeking to promote narcotic substances in the various emirates.
The gang is run by one person from outside the country.

He added that the security plan to arrest the gang focused on removing all of its members at the same time, to prevent some gang members from escaping from punishment.
The plan was able to overthrow the gang formation and seize the drugs in their possession.
The gang members have been referred to the judicial authorities.
According to Al Dhaheri, Abu Dhabi Police attaches great importance to combating drugs due to their severe negative effects on society.
